Our Breakfasts

Welcome to our dining room! Here at the RiverWood Inn we are obsessed with breakfast, after all, it’s one of the B’s in B&B! We take pride in serving up unique and delicious breakfasts for our guests to savor and remember. We are always creating new pairings and flavors to serve.

We also serve French press coffee to go along with the epicurean breakfasts. Here are samplings of our food, you can follow us on Facebook or Instagram to see more of our creations

Don't worry if you have special dietary needs you won't sacrifice quality or taste (just be sure to let us know ahead of time).

Breakfast Appetizers?

You read that right, we start each breakfast off with a small starter to cleanse the pallette and whet your appetite.

From strawberries with a minted simple syrup to our famous Pina Colada (its a whipped pineapple merangue and a house favorite) we find that its a nice way to start a delicious meal.

Picured are our caramelized pears with port wine reduction and honey pepper goat cheese. Topped with pistachios, pepita's, and almonds.

Banana Stuffed French Toast

How can you not love raspberry, banana, and chocolate together? Sandwiched between golden brioch bread sits the banana and smooth creamy filling that will tempt your willpower to not devour it all in one bite! Dusted with powdered sugar on top and drizzed with homemade raspberry coulis. Oh did we mention the homemade chocolate ganache? That gets some of the spotlight on this dish too. A nice combination of the sweet and tart balanced out all on one plate!

Peach and Raspberry Crepes

This sophisticated combination of creamy mascarpone cheese and tangy island spice cardamom pairs beautifully with the sweet sliced peaches. Enveloped in the delicate French crepes and dusted with powdered sugar to add just enough sweet. If that weren’t enough to get your taste buds roaring, we top it off with homemade raspberry coulis to give it a nice finish.

Banana Fosters French Toast

Imagine the creamy mascarpone cheese mixed with local maple syrup and chopped pecans. Sandwiched between brioche bread and banana slices to create this delightful marriage of flavors and textures. Drizzled with a handmade dark rum sauce with enough cinnamon to give it the right punch.

Sangria Granita

What do you get when you take wine and pureed fruit? Absolute deliciousness in the form of a wine granita (which is shaved frozen wine). The possibilities are only limited by our chef’s imagination. This version is a berry sangria with enough citrus to balance it out nicely. Mix with some fresh berries and you have an elegant and unique treat to start your day!

Poached eggs and Avocado

This dish has so many layers but each one provides the right marriage of flavors to create a true delight for all your senses! Let’s start off with the foundation, a griddled croissant….let’s face it, I could really stop right there, but it gets even better! Some fresh smashed avocado balances out the smoked bacon that rests on it with the sweet roasted tomatoes. If that wasn’t enough, then we top it with a cloud-like poached egg, some hollandaise sauce and finally sprinkled with some everything-bagel seasoning. It’s a fully balanced pallet for all tastebuds!

Poached Eggs & Chorizo Potato Cakes

This dish has it all! Plenty of zip from the homemade chorizo sausage made into potato cakes, they serve as the foundation to hold the spiced black beans and the cloud-like poached eggs. Add some fresh pico de gallo on the side and you have a variety of flavors that meld together so well.
